In der unendlichen Weite der Steppe, die noch Schneereste und erste Frühjahrsblüher aufweist, das große Heer von kämpferischen berittenen Kosaken. Unter ihnen mehrere mit Musikinstrumenten und einer die große blaue Fahne mit Emblem schwenkend. Ihnen voran auf einem edlen Pferd mit reichem Geschirr ihr Anführer. Er trägt einen langen Bart, eine dunkelgrüne Uniform und einen wehenden roten Mantel sowie Turban. Typische Darstellung für den bekannten Maler voller Frische und Lebendigkeit. (11608122) (18)
