Vor dunklem Hintergrund ist Maria mit dem Kind auf dem Schoß ins Zentrum gesetzt, steil von oben merklich beleuchtet. Links der Johannesknabe mit einem Kreuzstab im Blickkontakt mit dem Jesusknäblein, das mit dem Finger auf Johannes deutet. Im schattigen Hintergrund rechts oben ist der Kopf Josefs zu erkennen. Bildaufbau, Komposition und Farbigkeit lassen die Einflüsse des Florentiner Manierismus erkennen. (11205618) (11)

The Virgin with the Christ Child on her lap is depicted against a dark background at the centre with light steeply falling onto them from the top. Image concept, composition and colouration show influences by Florentine Mannerism.
