Das vorliegende, qualitätvolle Gemälde ist eine nur leicht kleinere Wiederholung des von Ribera signierten und 1640 datierten Gemäldes, das sich heute im Harvard Art Museums - Fogg Museum, Cambridge, Massachusetts befindet. Es ist durchaus wahrscheinlich, dass das Gemälde in der neapolitanischen Werkstatt des großen spanischen Meisters ausgeführt wurde. (1110831) (8) (10)

The present, high-quality painting is a copy of slightly smaller format of a painting by Ribera signed and dated 1640, today held at the Harvard Art Museum/Fogg Museum, Cambridge Massachusetts. It seems probable that the painting was created in the Neapolitan workshop of this great Spanish master.
