Die hohe Qualität des Gemäldes rechtfertigt durchaus die Zuweisung an den genannten Künstler, der als virtuoser Nachfolger des Stils von Carlo Cignani gesehen wird. Maria im Halbbildnis neigt sich nach links über das Jesusknäblein, das sich eng an die Brust der Mutter schmiegt. Die Lichtführung von links oben beleuchtet die Gestalten, vor allem das Inkarnat der beiden Figuren, eingebettet in abgemildert leuchtende Türkisfarben des Schleiers der Maria. Die Darstellung im Hochoval, in den Ecken in Braunfarbe abgegrenzt. (1012695)
