Hügelige verschneite Landschaft mit kahlen Bäumen unter hohem grau-weißem Himmel. Im Vordergrund rechts ein kleines zugefrorenes Gewässer, umrandet von grünem Schilf, und einem Baumstumpen. Ein kleiner Steg, neben dem ein Mann mit langem Stab in seinen Händen zu sehen ist, führt zu dem Gewässer. In der Mitte auf dem breiten Weg zwei Männer im Gespräch, davon einer mit leuchtend roter Jacke. Dahinter zwei Anhöhen mit kahlen Bäumen, unterhalb derer noch einige grün und braun belaubte Bäume zu erkennen sind. Malerei in überwiegend weiß-grauer und brauner Farbigkeit, die Kälte eines Wintertages vermittelnd. Rest. Horizontaler Holzriss.
