(1211543) (11)

Hendrik Bloemaert,
1601 Utrecht – 1672
YOUNG GARDENER PRESENTING FRUIT HARVEST IN THE STYLE OF A STILL LIFE Oil on canvas.
69 x 102 cm.

Bloemaert has been identified as the painter of this work thanks to Fred Meijer.

The painting was possibly painted by two artists. In any case, thanks to the above mentioned advice, the figure was probably created by Bloemaert, while the still life was created with the assistance of another painter. The soft and delicate flesh-colours are typical for his style, as can also be seen in his famous painting “Diana and Callisto”.

This object has been individually compared to the information in the Art Loss Register data bank and is not registered there as stolen or missing.
