Vor den Mauern eines alten Gebäudes ein sitzender Mönch in brauner Kutte, durch seine dicken Brillengläser einen auf einem Bord sitzenden dunklen Vogel aufmerksam beobachtend. Im Vordergrund links ein kleiner Steinbrunnen, während nach rechts der Blick auf ein Hochgebirge geht. Feine humorige detailreiche Malerei, in der typischen Manier des Künstlers, dessen Vater ein Schüler von Carl Spitzweg (1808-1885) war. (13704713) (18)
