Camaieu-Malerei, in Grau- und Brauntönen. Die allegorischen Gestalten jeweils als jugendliche Frauenakte auf Wolkengebilden. Aus antiker Überlieferung ist es Boreas, der als Nordwind die winterliche Jahreszeit beherrscht. Im Gegenstück ist die jung-weibliche Sommer-Allegorie mit einem Ährenkranz geschmückt, Putten sind mit Gartenschaufel, Obst und einem Dreschschlegel dargestellt. Der Löwe, Symbol des Monats August, wie auch der Sommerhitze wird von der Allegorie gezähmt. Wohl aus einem Jahreszeiten-Zyklus. Jeweils im Oval gemalt, von hoher künstlerischer Qualität. A.R.
