Mit einer Echtheitsbestätigung von Pierre Alechinsky, Bougival vom 11.8.1998.
Charakteristische Arbeit aus den frühen 1960er Jahren. Bereits 1954 hatte der CoBra-Künstler Alechinsky den chinesischen Maler Walasse Ting kennengelernt und befasste sich durch ihn angeregt mit der asiatischen Tuschemalerei. Eine Reise nach Japan 1955, während derer Alechinsky einen dokumentarischen Film über die Kalligraphie drehte, führte ihn zu einer reduzierten, auf die Linie konzentrierten Formensprache.
