Farblich und kompositionell bewegte Darstellung, die einen rot gekleideten, arabischen Pferdeführer mit türkisfarbenem Turban zeigt, der den hochsteigenden Schimmel am Zügel hält, in der rechten Hand ein Dolch. Die Darstellung gehört stilistisch in die bekannte Reihe ähnlich konzipierter und in lockerer Pinseltechnik vorgeführter Gemälde, die den französischen Maler Delacroix als Vorbild aufweisen. Jedoch sind Themen wie diese nahezu ins Unwirkliche übertragen, was die Dramatik des kriegerischen Geschehens im Bild noch steigert. (940432)
