Piero Ruggeri,
1930 Turin – 2009 Avigliana
Er studierte an der Accademia Albertina Di Belle Arti in Turin. Noch als Student nahm er an zahlreichen Ausstellungen teil und erlangte schnell große Bekanntheit. Seine Arbeiten sind beeinflusst durch Informel und den Abstrakten Expressionismus.

Rechts unten signiert "Ruggeri". Verso auf der Leinwand signiert, betitelt und datiert.
Gerahmt.
Vor einer in sich strukturierten, schwarzen Fläche zeichnet sich in pastosem Auftrag eine sitzende Figur ab. Sie ist etwas nach links gewendet und scheint sich stark und angespannt nach vorne zu beugen. Die Farbstrudel in Rot und Weiß mischen sich in der Figur und stehen kontrastreich vor der dunklen Fläche.
