Der etwa zweijährige Prinz mit bloßem Oberkörper, bekleidet mit einem roten Seidentuch in Sitzhaltung unter Bäumen. Der linke Fuß auf einen Pfeileköcher gelegt, den Bogen hält das Knäblein in der linken Hand, die rechte auf ein am Boden liegendes Kapitell gestützt. Im Hintergrund ist im Dunkeln unter beschatteten Bäumen eine plastisch gestaltete Parkvase zu erkennen mit einer plastischen Rückenansicht eines Heroen. Rechts hinten zieht die bergige Landschaft zum Horizont unter Abendhimmel.

Aufgeführt bei Cornelis Hofstede de Groot "Holländische Maler", Band VI, S. 563, Nr. 341, dort bezeichnet: "Knabe als Amor in flatterndem, rotem Kostüm mit Pfeil und Bogen".
