Darstellung im Halbbildnis, der Kopf im Profil nach links wiedergegeben, vor grünlich-braunem Hintergrund, über den kardinalroten Mantel ein weißer Kragen gelegt.
Anmerkung I:
Obwohl das Gemälde auf der Tafelrückseite den Künstlernamen Andrea del Sarto in alter Schrift aufweist, wurde durch eine Expertise von Dr. Sandro Bellesi, Florenz, der Künstler Cosimo Daddi als Urheber des Werkes angesehen. Der Maler Cosimo Daddi lässt die stilistische Herkunft von Fra Bartolommeo oder
Mariotto Albertinelli erkennen. Im Vergleich zum zeitgleich schaffenden Künstler Giorgio Vasari, der einen völlig anderen Stil zeigt, ist die mehr auf Feinmalerei ausgerichtete Stilsprache des Bildes auch in Zusammenhang mit den Werken von Alessandro Alori oder Giovanni Bizzelli und Alessandro Pieroni zu sehen. Der Maler hat bereits in jungen Jahren Florenz verlassen und wird bereits 1575 in Volterra im Kreis von Guido Serguidi dokumentiert. Hier wirkte er im Kreise junger Künstler wie Francesco Brini, Bernardino Poccetti, Naldini oder Balducci.
