Das Bild wird dominiert von vier schwarzen Kriegern der Vorzeit auf einem ocker-gelblichen Hintergrund. Die typischen Strichmännchen, oft als Alter Ego von Penck gedeutet, hier mit einer Art Lasso und Speer ausgestattet. Fasziniert von wissenschaftlichen Systemen, vor allem der Theorie der Kybernetik, gelangte Penck zu seiner charakteristischen Bilderwelt aus Symbolen, Strichmännchen und Zeichen.
Dem Gemälde liegt eine Bestätigung des direkten Erwerbs vom Künstler bei.

1991 direkt vom Künstler von Prof. S. M. Heinrichs
erworben.

The painting is domiated by four black prehistoric warriors on an occre-yellowish background. Penck’s signature matchstick men, often understood as alter ego of the artist himself, fight in this scene with a lasso and a spear. Fascinated by scientific systems and cybernetics, Penck developed his characteristic imagery made up of symbols, machtstick men and signs.
The work is accompanied by a confimation of purchase directly from the artist.

1991 acquired by Prof. S. M. Heinrichs from the artist.
