Auf dem Keilrahmen Stempel „SL“ in Ligatur (Schloss Laubach). In einem originalen, vergoldeten Empire-Rahmen mit Eckpalmetten.
Bei der Dargestellten handelt es sich möglicherweise um Prinzessin Albertina Charlotte Auguste zu Waldeck und Pyrmont (1768 - 1849), eine geborene zu Schwarzburg-Sonderhausen. Sie war mit dem Fürsten Georg I von Waldeck und Pyrmont (1747 - 1813) verehelicht und hat zwischen 1787 und 1809 13 Kinder zur Welt gebracht. Recherchen haben ergeben, dass Tischbein die Adelige zweimal als junge Frau gemalt hat. Die Mutter nach links an einem Steintisch sitzend hält ihr Kind nach links, das auf einem roten Tuch sitzt, im Hintergrund Wolkenhimmel sowie ein Baumstamm am linken Bildrand. Darstellung im Oval, in den Ecken grau gemalt. (851671)
