Links oben signiert und ortsbezeichnet „Weimar". Verso auf der Leinwand Titelbezeichnung, Künstlermonogramm und Datierung „1889". Auf dem erneuerten Keilrahmen Besitzerangabe „Kollektion Arch. Paolo Candiani" mit Inventarnummer „57".
Verglast und gerahmt, mit graviertem Künstlerschild auf dem Rahmen.
Mehrere Bauern mit ihrem Redeführer haben sich vor einem Amtstisch versammelt, an dem zwei Amtsherren sitzen, einer stehend, die Vorwürfe entgegennehmend. Szene im naturalistischen Realismus der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts, erkennbar der Einfluss der Malerei des Franz Defregger. (8119828)
