Idealisierte, nicht kanonisch in den Texten des Neuen Testaments dokumentierte Begegnung des jugendlichen Jesus mit dem ebenfalls jugendlichen Johannes der Täufer. Die beiden in gebirgiger Landschaft stehend. Im linken Bildhintergrund ein hochragender Baum, rechts Fels mit einer Quelle, dem Symbol der Taufe. Jesus in rotem Gewand stehend, mit Strahlennimbus. Die linke Hand an die Brust gelegt, die rechte Hand auf den knienden Johannes Baptist weisend. Am rechten Bildrand ein Lamm am Bodenkreuzstab des Johannes mit Spruchband und Aufschrift "Ecce agnus dei".
