Vgl. Ein fast identisches Gemälde bei Siegfried Wichmann “Carl Spitzweg: Kunst, Kosten und Konflikte“ Frankfurt und Berlin, 1991. S. 50 mit zwei Abbildungen. Prof. Wichmann weist in seinem Buch darauf hin, dass Spitzweg in seiner frühen Phase helle, graugrüne bis weißliche Töne, die auch durch gelben Ocker abgewandelt werden, gewählt hat. Charakteristisch ist für Spitzweg auch ein Blauton, der sich in seinem Frühwerk, wie auch in diesem Gemälde immer wiederfindet, das der historischen Genremalerei zuzuordnen ist. (651791)
