Jeweils vor einem reich gefälteten Repoussoirtuch die einander zugewandte Halbfigur einmal eines jungen Mannes mit seiner behandschuhten Hand zu seiner Frau hinweisend bzw. eben diese ihre Hand an ihre Brust bzw. auf einen Stuhl mit Lederbespannung und Messingapplikationen legend. Beide Figuren mit feinen Spitzenkragen.
Anmerkung:
Ein beim RKD unter Nummer 193491 verzeichnetes Portraitpaar kann als Vergleich herangezogen werden zu den hier angebotenen Gemälden. Jenes ist signiert und 1650 datiert. Was die Kleidung anbelangt, ist ein Gemäldepaar ebenfalls von Victors noch ähnlicher, das am 13.11.1995 bei Christie’s, Amsterdam, angeboten worden war (Lot 17). (13413315) (1) (13)

Active in Amsterdam between 1635 and 1676. Member of the Dutch East India Company since 1673. In 1676 he travelled to Dutch East Indies, nowadays Indonesia.
