Ein elegantes, für den Maler typisches Schaustück, das von den auf unterschiedlichen Stufen befindlichen Objekten und von der intensiven Farbe lebt, die von diesen ausgeht. Auf einem grün gedeckten Tisch mit rotem Teppich steht eine barocke Prunkuhr, die an Eleganz noch gewinnt im Vergleich zu den Früchten des Alltags, mit denen man sich in Italien umgeben darf. Eine niedriger angeordnete Silbervase dient als Behältnis für ein prachtvolles Blumenarrangement, welches das gesamte Bilddrittel einnimmt.
Der Maler war in der zweiten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts in der Emilia-Romagna tätig, seine Werke werden in Sammlungen der Bologneser Aristokratie, etwa dem Grafen Annibale Ranuzzi (1697) und Giovanni Antonio Sedazzi (1700) verzeichnet. (1330241) (13)
