Vor einem nicht näher bestimmtem Hintergrund auf einem reich beschnitztem und vegoldetem Thronstuhl eine reich gekleidete junge Frau sitzend, ihr Haupt von Perlen geschmückt, in der Hand einen Brief haltend. Zu ihrer Linken ein Tisch mit Gegenständen und der Bote des Briefes erkennbar. Von Johann Carl Loth sind ähnliche Kompositionen bekannt.
Anmerkung:
Am 13.12.2012 wurde unter Losnummer 36 eine Maria Magdalena bei gleicher Komposition angeboten, sodass angenommen werden kann, dass unser Gemälde aus der gleichen Hand stammen könnte. (13002510) (3) (13)
