Holz, geschnitzt gefasst. In gedrehter Pose wendet sich der der Kardinalsheilige nach links und (hier ist nur der Oberkörper dargestellt) legt seine rechte Hand an seine linke Brust. Fein geschnitzt sind trotz der Fassung der Bart und die Haare sowie die Miene, welche sorgenverzerrt dem Betrachter dargelegt wird. Besonders die fein geschnitzten Falten und Haare erinnern an Torrigiano. Der expressive Schwung und die Gewanddarstellung lassen sich jedoch nicht eindeutig in sein Werk einordnen, sodass auch ein Künstler in seinem Umkreis in Frage kommt. (12115114) (13)

Wood; carved and polychrome. The finely carved folds and hair are especially reminiscent of works by Torrigiano. However, the expressive sweep and the depiction of the garment cannot be decidedly attributed to his oeuvre, so an artist from his circle could also be considered as its creator.
