Die Aktfigur im Kontrapost auf flacher runder Plinthe stehend. Das mittelgescheitelte Haar zu einem Zopf gebunden, der um den Kopf zieht. Mit beiden Händen hält sie eine Margerite und scheint an einem Blütenblatt zu ziehen, entsprechend der landläufigen Frage „Er liebt mich, er liebt mich nicht“. Qualitätvolle plastische Ausführung und feiner Guss, schwarz patiniert.
Der Künstler war Sohn des Bildhauers Richard Moest (1841 - 1906) und Schüler von Josef Eberle (1839 - 1903) an der Akademie in München. Zahlreiche Werke seiner Hand finden sich in Kirchen Kölns sowie ehemals Technische Hochschule Aachen bzw. im Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum Aachen. 1908 nahm er an der Münchner Glaspalast-Ausstellung teil, 1909 und in der Folge in der Großen Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
