Beigegeben in Kopie ein Gutachten von Dr. Fabian, Bad Neustadt/ Saale, 1997.
Eichenholzkorpus dreiseitig geschweift und innen bis auf Deckel mit Kirschholz verkleidet. Außen und Deckel weite Kartuschenfelder durch Messingbänder umrandet und mit Olivenholzmosaik gefüllt. Dr. Fabian sieht in der Art des Mosaiks einen Hinweis auf die sehr frühe Herstellungszeit der Schatulle. Vorspringender, mit Mahagoni aufgedoppelter Boden mit kleinem Kopf zum öffnen des Schlüssellochbeschlages. Oberseite mit Bügelhenkel. Ein Schlüssel vorhanden.
