Das original dazugehörige lederbezogene Etui in Goldprägeschrift bezeichnet „Napoli“ sowie mit dem auch im Petschaft angegebenen „G. L.“.

Darin: Brieföffner, Federhalter und Petschaft. Die Utensilien aus äußerst dickwandigem Schildpatt, zum Teil in der Art von Kleinplastik geschnitzt. Petschafthalterung in Gestalt des „Marsias“, jener Pan, der versucht hatte Apollo zum musikalischen Zweikampf herauszufordern. Hier an einen Baumstamm gebunden, am Boden die Pansflöte. Der Schaft des Federhalters floral beschnitzt, der Griff des Brieföffners mit Voluten-, Doppeldelfin- und Muschelmotiven beschnitzt.
