Der italienische Futurist erhielt seine künstlerische Ausbildung in Rovereto, bevor er 1913 nach Rom zog. Dort wurde er mit den Futuristen Giacomo Balla (1871-1958) und Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916) bekannt, in deren Kreis er 1915 aufgenommen wurde. 1919 eröffnete er in Rovereto ein futuristisches Kunsthaus und 1959 das erste futuristische Museum, die Galleria Museo Depero.
Beigegeben eine Bestätigung von Dr. Bruno Passamani, Brescia; datiert „6. September 1982“.
Das vorliegende Gemälde ist eine getreue Wiederholung nach gleichnamigen Gemälde, das sich in der Galleria della Ragione in Genua befindet und 1932 ausgeführt wurde. Es war für Fortunato Depero gängige Praxis, wichtige seiner Werke zu wiederholen, wobei er zuweilen die Farbe oder auch die Technik änderte. In „Nitrito in velucita“ bringt der Künstler sowohl die Poesie, als auch die Dynamik der futuristischen Malerei in eindrücklicher Art und und Weise zum Ausdruck. Die harmonische Farbchromatik unterstützt dabei gekonnt den Eindruck der Geschwindigkeit und der Plastizität. (1040601) (12)

Accompanied with a confirmation of authenticity by Dr Bruno Passamani, Brescia dated 6 September 1982.
The present painting is an exact copy of an eponymous painting held at the Galleria della Ragione in Genoa and was created in 1932. It was Fortunato Depero’s usual practice to copy his important works, although he occasionally changed the colour scheme and sometimes also the technique. In Nitrito in velocità the artist expresses the poetry as well as the dynamic of futuristic painting in an impressive manner.
