Holz, geschnitzt, gefasst und vergoldet, rückseitige Eisenaufhängung. Das gleichschenklige Kreuz in barokker Formgebung mit Reliefschnitzereien und Malereien. Zentrales bekröntes Wappen der Spanischen Inquisition mit Olivenzweig, Kreuz und Schwert, überfangen von sechsquastigem Bischofshut mit Kreuz. Unteres Ende mit dem Familienwappen in Kartusche. Der Querbalken mit der Inschrift „EL YLLmo Sr Dn ACUSTIN RUBIN DE ZEBALLOS ORP DE JAEN E INOr GENFR“ (El Ilmo. Senor D. Agustin Rubin de Zebassos Obispo de Jaen e Inquisitor General). Schöne Alterspatina mit kleineren Fassungs- und Materialverlusten. Unten links eventuell ein Attribut sowie eine Blütenspitze verlustig.
Anmerkung:
Agustín Rubín de Ceballos (1724 - 1793) wurde nach dem Tod seines Vorgängers Antonio Gomez de la Torre y Jarabeitia Bischof von Jaén (1780 - 1793) und Großinquisitor von Spanien (1784 - 1793). 1790 erließ er ein Verbot zur Verbreitung von Schriften der französischen Revolution sowie weiterer in den Augen der katholischen Kirche fragwürdiger Schriften. Nach seinem Tod in Madrid wurde sein Leichnam nach Jaén überführt, wo er in der von ihm ausgestatteten Kapelle San Eufrasio in der Kathedrale von Jaén beigesetzt wurde.

Notes:
Agustin Rubin de Ceballos (1724 - 1793) became bishop of Jaén (1780 - 1793) and high inquisitor of Spain (1784 - 1793) after his predecessor Antonio Gomez de la Torre y Jarabeitia had died. In 1790 he banned the circulation of publications of the French Revolution and further publications, which he and the Catholic Church considered to be dubious. After his death in Madrid his body was transferred to Jaén where he was buried in the cathedral of Jaén, in the San Eufrasio chapel, which he had furnished himself.
