Nach einem Gemälde Cignanis, das sich ehemals in den Uffizien befand und heute verloren ist. Der schwerleibige Bacchusknabe auf rotem Tuch hingelagert, erhält von einem Bacchantenknaben von oben herab geträufelt den Saft von Trauben. Seine linke Hand hat er auf einen mit Trauben gefüllten Bottich gelegt. Im Vordergrund balgen sich zwei Knaben um ein Stück des Stoffes auf dem Bacchus liegt. Links zwei anmutige Mänaden, eine mit Tamburin, die andere mit einer Weinkanne. Die Aussage des Gemäldes nicht ohne ironischen Hinweis auf Völlerei und Trinksucht, was auch in dem rechts oben im Bild sichtbaren Kopf eines Esels angedeutet wird, der sich ebenfalls an den Trauben labt. Flotte, virtuose Pinselführung bei insgesamt hervorragender Qualität. (10018023) (11)

The message of this painting is - not without irony - about gluttony and drunkenness. This is also shown at the hint of a donkey's head eating grapes in the top right of the painting. Swift, masterly brushwork in overall excellent quality.
