Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940) wurde in eine Künstlerfamilie in Mailand geboren und eröffnete 1880, nach seinem Architektur- und Tischlereistudium, seine eigene Werkstatt in Mailand.
Walnussholz, eingelegt mit Zinnelementen, Bein, gegerbte Ziegenhaut, gegerbtes Pergament, getriebene Kupferelemente und textiler Behang. Vier profilierte Füße mit darüberliegenden architektonischen Beinen mit Vogel-, Getreide- und Bambusdekor. Orientalisierender Aufbau mit reich getriebenen Kupferelementen mit feinen Ornamenten und textilem Behang. Die Deckplatte mit Pergamentbezug, als Schreibplatte nutzbar und mit einer Klappfunktion versehen (besch. und rest.). (1240981) (13)

Walnut, inlaid with pewter and bone elements, tanned goats leather, tanned vellum, chased copper elements and fabric decoration. Four profiled feet with architectural legs decorated with bird, corn and bamboo décor. Oriental-style design with opulently chased copper elements, fine ornaments and fabric lining. The table top lined with vellum (damaged and restored).
