Große, seltene KPM-Prunkvase mit Bilddarstellung des "Alten Palais" in Berlin
Höhe: 56 cm.
Im glasierten Fußinneren rote Stempelmarke "KPM" mit Reichsapfel darüber sowie dunkelgrüner Rundstempel mit Reichsadler und Umschrift "Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur", darüber blaue Malermarke.

Klassischer Aufbau in Form eines Amphorenkraters. Die Gefäßform hochovaloid nach oben sich leicht weitend und auf eingezogenem, vergoldetem Rundfuß über quadratischer Fußplatte. Der kräftig nach oben ziehende, zylindrische Hals weitet sich am Oberrand in elegantem Wulstprofil. Daran beidseits ansetzende Henkeltaschen in Form von Greifen in Biskuitporzellan, weiß belassen und nur an den Höhungen goldstaffiert. Zur kobaltblau bemalten Wandung hin weiten sich die Körper der Fabelwesen in Form von einrollenden Blättern, an der Vorderseite der Wandung große, rechteckige, goldgerahmte Reserve mit Darstellung des "Alten Palais", auch genannt "Palais Kaiser Wilhelms I". Dies ist ein rechteckiger, zweigeschossiger Bau mit Architravgeschoss, viersäuligem Portikus, seitlicher Laube sowie gehisster Fahne. Rechts daneben das Reiterstandbild Friedrich des Großen, auf dem Platz davor Staffagefiguren. Die Bildrahmung und die Banddekoration an Hals und Fuß in Églomisé-Goldradierung mit Eichenblatt- bzw. Kymationdekor.

Large, rare, luxuriant KPM vase with depiction of the "Altes Palais" (Old Palace) in Berlin
Height: 56 cm.
On the inside of the glazed foot red "KPM" stamp with imperial orb and above that dark green round stamp with imperial eagle and circumscription "Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur" with blue painter's mark above.
Berlin, circa 1856 - 1870.
On the front of the vase a large, rectangular panel with gold frame and the depiction of the "Altes Palais", also known as the "Palace of Emperor William I".
