In der gelösten Haltung der "königlichen Lässigkeit" auf einem Felsensockel sitzend. Das rechte Bein nach unten, während das linke den Meditationssitz zeigt. Holz, geschnitzt mit originaler, polychromer Lackfassung. Die Figur ist in ein wallendes Mönchsgewand gehüllt und zeigt das Bodhisattva-Schmuckgehänge. Das Haupt mit hohem Haarschopf ist mit einem Diadem verziert. Rückseitige rechteckige Aussparung.

Provenienz:
Erworben ca. 1990 von Dr. Feldmeier, Hengersberg.
Nach dessen Angaben in den 1970er Jahren von den Nachfahren vom deutschen Botschafter in China Dr. Vorretsch erworben.

Guanyin

Height: circa 124 cm.
China, Ming dynasty, 1368 - 1644.

She is sitting in the relaxed pose of "royal nonchalance" on a rock base.

Provenance:
Purchased around 1990 by Dr Feldmeier, Hengersberg/Germany. According to him it was purchased from the descendants of the German Ambassador to China Dr Vorretsch.
