Majolika-Skulptur einer Verkündigungs-Madonna

Die vollplastische Figur der Madonna steht aufrecht und hält die Hände demütig vor der Brust überkreuzt. Ihr Kopf ist leicht emporgehoben, ihr verklärter Blick schweift etwas nach rechts. Bekleidet ist sie mit einem langen, fein gefältelten Gewand, das in der Taille gebunden ist. Ein weiter, mit Sternen verzierter Umhang schlingt sich über eine Schulter und legt sich weich um ihre Gestalt. Ein kurzer Schleier, unter dem die Haare hervorquellen, bedeckt ihr Haupt. Bemalung in Blau, Gelb, Grün und Schwarz. Krakeluren im Umhang und min. Glasurabplatzungen. (8910331)

A statue of Madonna standing upright with her hands folded across her chest. Her head is slightly raised her eyes gazing wistfully to the right. Wearing a long garment with delicate folds gathered around her waist. Another cloak, embellished with stars, is draped over one shoulder and wrapped softly around her body. Her hair is visible under a short veil covering her head. Painted in blue, yellow, green and black. Cloak with crazing and minimal glazing chips. Min. restored.
