Außerordentlich hochwertig gearbeitete Prunkwaffe. Scheide und Griff einheitlich beschnitzt. Gegliedert in insgesamt sieben Registerabschnitte mit feiner Szenenschnitzerei. Die Szenen gegliedert durch Zwischenringe mit Darstellungen von Drachen und Fantasietieren sowie Wolkenbändern und Blumenranken. In den einzelnen Szenenabschnitten vielfigürliche Darstellungen wie etwa Kampfszenen zu Pferde, Samuraikämpfe vor einem Podium mit höhergestellten Würdenträgern, japanische Legenddarstellungen im Zusammenhang mit dem Samuraikult. Am Griff höherformatige Szenerie mit Kämpfern in Landschaft, darüber Zuschauer hinter einer Balustrade. Griffabschlussdekoration mit Kiefernbäumen, dazwischen ein Raubvogel. Tsubascheibe in Elfenbein mit geschnitzter Blattdekoration am Außenrand. Glatte Stahlklinge, poliert, mit Messingansatzstück. Zwei hochovale Trageösen verbunden durch breite, geflochtene Seidenbänder mit abschließenden Quasten. (960671)
