Blick vom Canal Grande mit mehreren Gondeln am Ufer, drei Gondeln im Vordergrund auf dem Kanal mit sowie Dogenpalast, Campanile, Markuskirche, Markus- und Georgsäule. Die klassische Vedute in kühler, präziser Farbgebung mit harten, dem Malstil des Künstlers entsprechenden Konturen. Verso auf der Leinwand dreizeilige Bestätigungsaufschrift in Ölfarbe "Questa ’Venezia’ (Palazzo Ducale) è opera autentica/ da me eseguita e firmata/ Giorgio de Chirico". Auf dem Keilrahmen ovaler Gummistempel des Künstlers mit der Adresse "Via del Babuino (Roma)".
