Die Muschel an der gewölbten Seite mit einem in Kamee-Technik gefertigten Reliefbild beschnitzt, das den Sonnenwagen der Aurora zeigt. Die Quadriga zieht auf einer Wolkenbank nach rechts oben, angeführt von einem Blumen streuenden Mädchen. Darüber ein fliegender Amorknabe mit Feuerfackel, der Wagen in Begleitung antik gekleideter Mädchen. Unterhalb der Darstellung geschnitzte Blüten- und Blätterdekoration, der Dreifuß grün patiniert.
