Der Name Andreas kommt aus dem Griechischen und bedeutet "der Männliche, Mutige". Auf der Ikone ist der Apostel stehend abgebildet. In seiner rechten Hand hält er eine geschlossene Schriftrolle. Die kirchenslawische Inschrift lautet "Heiliger Apostel Andreas". Festtag ist der 30. November.
Die Ikone ist eine qualitätvolle zentralrussische Arbeit. Kleine alte Rest., ansonsten originaler Erhaltungszustand der prachtvollen Tafel.
Anmerkung:
Auf der Rückseite ist ein Zertifikat vom ehemaligen Ministerium für Kultur der UDSSR aufgeklebt. Hier wird die Ausfuhr am 23. September 1980 (Nr. 851) und die Echtheit der Ikone bestätigt.
