Der Heiligenlegende gemäß erfuhr die britannische Königstochter Ursula den Märtyrertod durch einen Pfeil der Hunnenkrieger, nachdem sie sich dem Hunnenfürsten verweigert hatte. Die Legende berichtet weiter, dass daraufhin eine Schar von Engeln die Hunnen in die Flucht schlug und dadurch die Stadt Köln errettete, woraufhin die Heilige Ursula zu einer Schutzpatronin Kölns erhoben wurde. Hier ist die Heilige vom Pfeil getroffen niedersinkend gezeigt, gehalten von einem Engel, der mit dem Finger zum Himmel weist. Im Hintergrund abendliche Landschaft mit Bäumen. (9516823)
