In einem alten, geschnitzten Barockrahmen in Eiche und Vergoldung.

Die Objekte liegen verstreut, aber gut positioniert auf einer weißen Fläche in der Farbigkeit vergilbten Papiers, auf dem sie trompe l'oeil-artig Schatten werfen. Im Zentrum ein Blätterzweig mit weißen Johannisbeeren, der diagonal von links unten nach rechts oben zieht. Links auf einem Johannisbeerblatt eine Libelle, darüber nahezu im Zentrum ein Nachtfalter mit ausgebreiteten Flügeln, am Stiel des Zweiges ein rot-weiß-schwarzer Schmetterling. Die verbleibenden Zwischenräume gefüllt mit Stubenfliege, Käfer, Marienkäfer, rotem Blattkäfer, Kohlweißling etc. sowie einer gelben, schwarz gepunkteten Raupe in der rechten unteren Ecke. Die Insekten und Blätter sowie Johannisbeeren fein gemalt. Die Schatten subtil vorgeführt.
