In einer Landschaft von expressiver Farbigkeit ragt leicht diagonal über die Bildfläche ein bildhoher Baum empor. Er steht auf einer Anhöhe, die sich zungenförmig nach rechts ausbreitet. Auf dieser hinter dem Baumstamm ist ein flach gedecktes, einfaches Haus zu erblicken, dessen Gelb sich hart gegen den tiefblauen Himmel absetzt.
