Migneco gehört zu den Hauptvertretern des Expressionisums in Italien. Seine künstlerische Ausbildung erhielt er in Messina und Mailand. Er gehörte zu den Gründungsmitgliedern der Bewegung Corrente. Nach dem Weltkrieg wandte er sich einer vom sozialen Realismus geprägten Malerei zu.

Die Figur einer hockenden Frau in weißem Kleid bestimmt die Bildfläche. Sie sitzt im Vordergrund und lehnt sich an eine niedrige Mauer hinter ihr. Auf das aufgestellte und angezogene linke Bein hat sie ihren Arm aufgelegt und blickt nach links aus dem Bild. Ihre andere Hand ruht auf dem Rand eines Korbes, der vor ihr steht. Das Inkarnat ist in strahlenden Farben von Gelb bis Ocker wiedergegeben und die Konturen in leuchtendem Rot ausgeführt. Im linken Hintergrund ist ein einfaches, kleines Haus inmitten einer Wiese vor blauem Himmel zu sehen.
