Vom verschattet gelegenen Ufer aus gesehen gleitet der Blick durch eine enge Öffnung zwischen zwei Felswänden auf das in gleißend hellem Gegenlicht liegende Meer. Am Ufer landet gerade ein Bootan, dessen Bug auf den Betrachter zeigt. In diesem steht frontal eine Frau und scheint zu warten. Die Felswände reichen bis an die obere Kante des Bildes, wobei die linke Wand von Menschenhand geglättet und bebaut ist. Die Mauern an dieser Wand reichen bis an eine kleine Uferbefestigung. Die rechten Felsen sind naturbelassen. Die Brauntöne, in welchen das Bild gehalten ist, erzeugen den Eindruck eines alten Fotoabzugs in Sepiafarben. (9401973)
