Moreni studierte Kunst in Turin und zählt zu den bedeutenden Vertretern der abstrakten Malerei in Italien. Er war ein Mitglied der Gruppo degli Otto und verbrachte viele Jahre in Paris.

Verso bezeichnet, signiert und datiert.
Gerahmt.
Vor einer dunklen Fläche erhebt sich ein abstraktes, brodelndes Gebilde in pastosem Farbauftrag, der ein teils kräftiges Relief formt. Am oberen Bildrand steht zu lesen:
"La pentola cuoce il dubbio a fuoco incerto".
In der unteren linken Bildecke weiter:
"regressito
Consapevole:
