Der Karton ist mit Farbflächen in Gelb, Rot und Grün getönt. Darüber liegt die kräftige schwarze Zeichnung zweier Vögel, deren Körper von der Seite und deren Köpfe links frontal zu sehen sind.

Beiliegend eine handschriftliche Authentifizierung von Lou Laurin-Lam, der Frau des Künstlers.
Eigentlich Wifredo Oscar de la Concepción Lam y Castilla. Der surrealistische Maler erhielt seine Ausbildung an der Kunsthochschule in Havanna. 1923 wanderte er nach Spanien aus und besuchte die Kunsthochschule von Madrid. In Paris lernte er Picasso und Breton kennen. Lams kraftvolle Malerei blieb stets inspiriert durch karibisch-afrikanische Kulte um Geister und Tänze. (9401034)
