Piero Gilardi,
1942 Turin
Gilardi studierte am Liceo Artistico in Turin. Er trug wesentlich zur Gründung der Arte Povera bei. Zu seiner künstlerischen Entfaltung trug insbesondere seine Begegnung u. a. mit Michelangelo Pistoletto bei. Später wandte er sich immer mehr dem Environment und der Interaktion und Kommunikation in sozialer Sphäre zu.

Im Plexiglaskasten.
Als hohes Relief erstreckt sich eine Wiese mit Grasbüscheln und kleinen, weißen Blumen über den braunen Untergrund, der mit Steinchen bemalt ist. Auf der Wiese liegen verstreut große gelbe und kleine rote Äpfel sowie Zweige des Apfelbaumes und eine Leiter, von der noch drei Sprossen zu sehen sind. Sämtliche Teile sind in Schaumstoff ausgeführt, der bemalt ist und Textur und Farbigkeit der Objekte naturalistisch wiedergibt.
