Rundbild mit Darstellung einer antiken Küstenlandschaft mit links höherstehenden Ruinen und rechts am Ufer liegenden Steintrümmern und kannelierten Säulenfragmenten. Im Zentrum eine antike Gestalt in roter Toga, bärtig wiedergegeben mit einem Buch im Arm. Dargestellt ist der griechische Redner und Politiker im alten Athen, Lykurgos (um 390 v. Chr. - 324 v. Chr.) Er war Schüler von Platon und Parteigänger von Demosthenes und führte die Athener Finanzverwaltung, hielt also eine Position inne, die heute als Kultusminister angesehen wird, unter ihm wurde das Dionysos-Theater in Athen gebaut sowie die Statuen der großen Tragiker aufgerichtet.
