Tiefer Teller mit breiter Fahne. Die Bemalung in Istoriato-Dekor. Links ist eine Burgmauer zu sehen, deren Torbogen und Rundbogenfenster im ersten Stock von Rand angeschnitten werden. Im Zentrum nähert sich ein Edelmann in zeitgenössischer Kleidung mit Barett von rechts. Er trägt einen Degen in der linken und flammendes Herz in der ausgestreckten rechten Hand. Im Hintergrund sind ein großes Gewässer und dahinter Berge zu sehen. Bemalung in Schwarz, Blau, Rot, Orange und Grün. Ein Brandfehler und Kratzer im unteren Drittel des Spiegels. Bruchrest.

Maiolica Istoriato dish
Diameter: 26.5 cm.
Venice, 16th century.

Deep dish with broad border with Istoriato painting. The depiction of castle walls on the left with archways and arched windows is cut off by the top rim at the first floor. Centrally, a gentleman in 16th century attire wearing a beret approaches from the right. He holds an epee in his left hand and a flaming heart in his outstretched right hand. The background scenery depicts a large lake with mountains behind. Painted in black, blue, red, orange and green. One firing defect, scratches in the lower third of the centre. Cracked and restored.
