Blick in die Bucht von Neapel mit dem Donn'Anna Palazzo auf der Landzunge, im Vordergrund Fischer an anliegendem Kahn beim Ausziehen der Netze, daneben weitere Figurenstaffage. Lichtvolle, helle Landschaftsauffassung in virtuoser Malweise.

Anmerkung:
Der Künstler zählt zu den bekannten italienischen Impressionisten und wirkte stilverwandt zu J. A. McNeill Whistler sowie Mariano Fortuny oder Francesco Paolo Michetti. Die Bedeutung des Malers wurde vor allem von B. Menotti hervorgehoben, besonders in seinem Werk "Piccole cose", Neapel, 1937, S. 73. Werke des Künstlers befinden sich in der Nationalgalerie in Modena sowie in Rom.

Note:
The artist ranks among the most famous of the Italian impressionists, with a style similar to that of J.A. McNeill Whistler and Mariano Fortuny or Francesco Paolo Michetti. The painter's importance was notably stressed by B. Minotti, in his work "Piccole cose", Napoli, 1937, pg. 73. Works of the artist can be found at the National Gallery in Modena as well as in Rome.
