Hans Dahl,
1849 Granvin, Hardangerfjord - 1937 Balestrand, Sognefjord
Norwegischer Landschafts- und Genremaler, studierte ab 1873 an der Akademie in Karlsruhe sowie nachfolgend an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf unter Eduard von Gebhardt. Mit seinen Bildmotiven gehört er zu den Künstlern der norwegischen Nationalromantik.

Variation zu einigen weiteren bekannten Gemälden des Malers, in denen er jeweils eine junge, hübsche Norwegerin in ländlicher Tracht in weiter, bergiger Landschaft zeigt, hier mit einem geschulterten Holzrechen und einem hölzernen Butterfass in der linken Hand. Die Schürze vom Wind leicht nach vorne geweht, ebenso die goldblonden Locken, im Hintergrund noch mit Schnee bedeckte Berge sowie eine Fjordbucht am Horizont. (892487)
