Runder, tiefer Teller. Umlaufend dekoriert mit Grotesken, Cherubinen, Delfinen, Rosetten, Ranken- und Fruchtdekor sowie Füllhörnern in Hellblau und Weiß auf dunkelblauem Fond, sog. Ornament "A Berettino". Im kleinen Zentrum die Darstellung eines Weisen mit gelbem Turban, langem Bart und gelbem Umhang über dem Gewand, in den Händen ein Buch haltend. Die Rückseite des Tellers mit Blüten- und Rankenmalerei in Dunkelblau auf hellblauem Fond. Sammlungs-inventarnummern.

Zustand:
Ein sehr feiner Haarriss. Sonst einwandfrei und nicht rest.

An Important Maiolica Plate from the Manufacture Faenza
Diameter: 24.5 cm.
First third of the 16th century.

A deep and round plate. The entire plate is decorated with grotesques, cherubs, dolphins, rosettes, tendril and fruit designs as well as light blue and white cornucopias on a dark blue fond, the so-called ornament "A Berettino." In the small center is pictured a wise man with a yellow turban, a long beard, and a yellow cloak over his garment. Holding a book in his hands. Dark blue foliage and tendrils on a light blue fond are painted on the back of the plate. With inventory numbers of a collection. Condition: small hairline crack. Otherwise flawless and no restorations.
