Briefbeschwerer in schwarzem, belgischem Schiefer, darin jeweils Mikromosaikansichten von Rom eingelassen. Zwei der Schieferplatten randgeschweift, eine im Rechteckformat. Die größere Platte enthält fünf Romansichten: im Zentrum Petersplatz und Peterskirche, oben links Kolosseum, rechts Forum Romanum, unten links Pantheon und rechts Minervatempel. Die mittelgroße Platte zeigt im Queroval den Blick auf die Tempel des Forums mit Jupitertempelsäulen und Septimus Severus-Bogen. Die gleiche Ansicht im kleinen, rechteckformatigen Stück. (871534)
